Irish Horse Board AGM

There was strong lobbying by members of TIHA at the annual Irish Horse Board AGM – making their case for clearly identifying & ringfencing Traditional Irish bloodlines. John Watson TIHA proposed a motion to place the letter “T” after the Horse registration number on the passport as a form of identifying a traditional Irish pedigree when foreign buyers come to purchase our stock. This motion was seconded by William Micklem who also also noted that many of his colleagues in Holland and Germany are amazed that we don't ringfence our Traditional Irish Bloodlines. After much debate Jim Beecher, Chairman IHB agreed to informally accept the motion for an EGM and gave a guarantee that he and HIS staff would meet with members of TIHA to discuss and formally agree the motion.
